Career Opportunities – Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists, Psychotherapists, & Counsellors in Edmonton, AB

Diamond Career Counselling & Psychological Services (DCCPS) is expanding in 2023. We have independent contractor positions to work remotely or virtual, hybrid, or in the office.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide both individual and couples counselling for adults
  • Willingness to liaise with other health care professionals on an as-needed basis (i.e., psychiatrist, other psychologists, case managers of insurance institutions) to provide continuity of care
  • Ability to offer 15-min phone consultations to prospective clients
  • Learn the basics of online record keeping systems
  • Special interest in:
    • Addressing a range of mental health concerns such as trauma, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, and more.
    • Workplace issues, job burnout, and stress management
    • Supporting clients on medical leaves and gradual return to work programs
    • Career / life role changes and transition
    • Academic and Career Planning

Qualifications Needed

  • Master’s Degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
  • Be a Registered Psychologist or Registered Provisional Psychologist (this requires that you have an external supervisor in place)
  • Reside in Alberta
  • Liability Insurance is required
